bye bensy

Two days ago, we lost our black Labrador Ben. He was only 3 years old, and looked nothing close to dying. None of us thought he would leave so soon, since out of all five dogs, he was the most playful one. Unfortunately, he had an infection that made him anemic; so he became weak and unable to eat. I actually saw him that morning before leaving for class, and once I turned the corner of my house and saw him standing, I immediately panicked in my head thinking that he would jump all over and stain the clothes I was wearing for school. But to my surprise, he just stood there (and I was relieved). Little did I know that he was going to die in a matter of hours.

Bye bye Bensy :( Your amazing black color (he looked like he was made of velvet) and hyper-ness will be missed.

japanese treat

If you've gone through a few of my Tumblr or Twitter posts, you would probably know how often I crave for Japanese food. I just had my last Jap meal less than a week ago at my friend Sam's house for our VD Fridays (Vampire Diaries), but my cravings are back once again. Come to think of it, I actually wanted more again that same night for a midnight snack! But it was only today that I finally got a hint of Jap again, which temporarily satisfied the crave.

Just a few months ago, Palms Country Club decided to add packs of Mixed Maki, Spicy Tuna salad and Kani salad to the little bake shop they have at the lobby. Passing this area now never fails to leave me tempted to buy a pack of Maki or Spicy Tuna. Unfortunately, their food isn't exactly cheap. To buy a pack of Mixed Maki, it would cost P300-400, and I don't want to get into the habit of spending that much every week just to get some Jap in my system. LUCKILY, Palms slashes the prices of their Jap food in the bake shop once it's 8PM. So anything Jap left after that becomes half price. Because of that.. Spicy Tuna for me today!

My sister was able to catch the last one available after 8PM, so she bought it at P140 only. It was actually still good, but Palms is really particular about the quality of their food so they don't sell anything at their high prices for less than what it should cost. And it doesn't happen often that there are still packs left in the bake shop after 8PM, so I was extremely happy when my sister got home with a half-priced yet still delicious Spicy Tuna salad :)

funny face on blogspot

I did it. I finally manned up and made a blogspot for myself. It's something I've been contemplating on for quite a while now, but it never seemed to actually push through (because, i don't know. Maybe I felt it was something done by the ultra-dedicated writers). Today, I finally gave in. I've decided that constantly being flashed by inspiring photos on Tumblr let me stray from actually writing, so I wanted to make a personal blog without the distraction in order for me to be able to really write.

But I'm not a writer. Sometimes though, I can't help but imagine myself being one just like Carrie Bradshaw (although not a columnist that writes about sex), and it's something that comes out as really appealing to me. Not the fact that she's living a glamorous life in NYC, attending events and living the life of a big-time writer, but the fact that she can easily transfer her thoughts into words, which people actually relate to. And being the curious, worrier, wanderer, constantly thinking type of person that I am, I feel that writing is something that would help me somewhat get things off my chest (or my head). So consider this a practice.

As for my Tumblr, I do not plan on abandoning it. I love Tumblr still and will continue posting, though more posts on just photos and reblogs.

So here's to a new, clean slate! I don't expect these writings to score a thousand viewers, but it would be comforting to know that at least a few people or someone appreciates the random thoughts, experiences, and dreams that I share. So feel free to send a note or comment, it would definitely be appreciated :)
